Getting Started with Downloadable Content

Ridgefield Library patrons can enjoy an extensive collection of materials and services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from anywhere they have access to a personal computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone, or other device. All you need is your Ridgefield Library card to access thousands of e-books, downloadable audiobooks, streaming music, digital magazines, movies, and television shows. Items are returned automatically when the loan period is up, so no fines or lost item charges!

Meet Libby

Download up to five items at once, including eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, and read-along books. 
If titles are not currently available, you can place a hold via the app and be notified when your item is available.

Download up to five items a month, choosing from thousands of audiobooks, eBooks, comics, music, movies, and television.

Watch up to five films a month with unlimited plays on Kanopy kids and The Great Courses.

Meet TumbleBooks

App or web-based. Access through the Ridgefield Library website or download the free app. Children’s eBooks with a read aloud options for beginning readers. No downloads and no restrictions to the number of books you can access.

Meet The Palace Project

Download The Palace Project App to your device to experience new e-reading  adventure. The Palace Project App offers variety of new and popular e-books and e-audiobooks, as well as a selection of free books from the Palace Bookshelf.
