One of a kind experiences

Students in Grades 3-5 are invited to an exclusive After Hours Adventure at the Ridgefield Library. Campers will arrive for this fundraising event after the Library closes to the public and join their fellow campers in a one-of-a-kind experience that includes flashlight tag, fishing, archery, s'more making, live night creatures, hot dogs from Chez Lenard, and a host of camping goodies to take home at the 10:00 pm conclusion of the evening. Campers should have dinner before the event and should leave any electronics or personal items at home.

Spots are limited to 48 campers per evening. This event is $135 per student and is a fundraiser for the Ridgefield Library. An email will be sent with additional required information to all confirmed registrants.

When does registration end?

Registration ends on January 10, 2024 to have a choice in t-shirt size. Those who register after this time will receive an XL camp t-shirt.

Late registration ends on January 15, 2024.

What is the cost?

Your donation amount is $135 per child; additional siblings from the same family have a discounted rate of $120.

How do I pay?

Once you register for your selected evening, you will receive a confirmation email that contains the link to pay online. If you need an alternate payment method, please email ALForsyth@ridgefieldlibrary.org.

Is the cost tax deductible?

The tax deductible portion of your $135 donation is $100.

Will there be snacks?

Yes, but we ask that your child arrive having already eaten dinner. Campers will be served hot dogs by Ridgefield's own Hot Dog Man, Chez Lenard and a dessert of s'mores.

What if my child has allergies?

When you fill out the information and permissions form, you can indicate any food or medical accommodations your child may have. You can also indicate if they need to bring an EPI pen or personal allergen-free snacks.

Can my child be paired with their friend?

You may request your child be paired with one friend and we will do our very best to make accommodations. Please understand that we cannot guarantee this request.

Can my child go home with a friend's parent/grandparent/neighbor?

Yes, but you must provide their contact information on the permissions and information form. The Library will not release your child to any adult without the parent/guardian's permission.

What if it snows?

The snow dates are Friday, January 26, 2024.

Can my child bring their device?

We ask that all toys, phones, tablets, and other devices are left at home. We don't want them to get misplaced or lost and everyone will be too busy to use them!

Did you hire an outside group to put this event together?

Other than the professionals hired to bring in the night creatures, all aspects of this event are created by Library staff.
