If your last passport was a 10-year passport and it has been expired for less than five years, use the renewal form DS-82 and send to the Passport Services address on the form. Renewal forms may be downloaded at travel.state.gov or picked up at the Post Office or the Library’s Circulation Desk. All other forms (DS-11, DS-3053, etc.) can be downloaded at travel.state.gov.

The National Passport Information Center (NPIC) is once again offering expedited service. As of February 2024, expedited passports take 2-3 weeks and routine processing time is 6-8 weeks from the time received.
Local Passport agencies and centers can assist customers who need a passport in the next 72 hours (3 business days) for a life-or-death emergency. Customers must make an appointment for life-or-death emergency service by contacting the NPIC and cannot walk in to passport agencies or centers.
