OUTREACH

Library Tours

We can schedule a tour, a storytime, book talks, or provide research assistance via secure Zoom or Google classroom meetings or by meeting your students in the Library.

Book Talks

Virtual or in-person book talks can be catered to your teaching needs. We can offer a ten-book book talk in 15 minutes complete with complementary bookmarks to allow students to mark their favorites for their next Library visit. Any age, grade, theme or reading level.

School Visits

Contact the Children's Department to arrange school visits. We can work with you to visit as many or as few classes and grades that you need. From storytimes to book talks, database demonstrations to materials show and tell, book club style discussions to research help, we can cater to your specific classroom needs.

Summer Reading

Schedule a visit to discuss how students can participate in the Library's Summer Reading Program over the summer. Our robust reporting systems also allow us to work with schools and teachers to provide reading logs and data. Email kjlareau@ridgefieldlibrary.org to schedule a virtual assembly or to coordinate Summer Reading requirements with your school.
