Services: Use Technology

The Ridgefield Library is committed to being a resource for expanding knowledge for the community it serves and responding to the multi-faceted needs of its patrons by offering free access to a variety of technology and technology services. Public computers, printing, faxing, copying and Wi-Fi are available any time that the library is open.

Internet & Wireless Access

Wi-Fi access  is available throughout the building and on our front law. Bring your device into the library and log on automatically to our network "Library" with no password required.

Internet Access is available on public workstations on the Upper Level by the Adult Services desk and the Main Level in the Children's department.

  • The workstations on the Upper Level are in areas shared by patrons of all ages and are not filtered. Patrons should refrain from accessing potentially objectionable or offensive information or images. This applies as well to patrons who are accessing the Internet on their own laptop computers or other devices.
  • There are dedicated computer terminals in the Children’s Room that provide filtered access to the Internet. These computers are principally for the use of minors and their accompanying parent, guardian, or other adult caregiver.
